My Story

So much of what makes me who I am is what I love:

All things soul-related, art, nature, writing in coffee shops, taking photos.

I am at my best when I am one-on-one with people I love, deeply connecting or hanging about.

I'm a huge Ennegram nut.  Discovering my 4w5 type has brought so much clarity to my lifelong search for identity and meaning.

At this stage of my life, I have been trying my hardest to uncover those passions/interests that tap into as many parts of my ME-ness as possible.

I can tell you after years of trying to marginalize and even rid myself of the ME parts that I have always considered unacceptable, this way of moving through the world is profoundly better.  I highly recommend it..

Why I do this

For all my life, I have been an extremely shy and highly sensitive  and emotional person riddled with overwhelm, shame, and self-hate.  This was driven by unrealistic idealism and a compulsion to use others' opinions of me as the lens by which I determined my personal value.

Luckily, my infinite curiosity has led me into the worlds of philosophy, spirituality, and psychotherapy.  These things helped lay a foundational understanding of my destructive patterns; however, these things failed to provide sustainable or substantial effects.

Though I am grateful to have had rich and unique life experiences, fulfilling relationships and rewarding accomplishments, I have lived most of my life feeling lost.

I stumbled upon EFT on the internet about 15 years ago.   After giving it a brief try, I cursed it as just another modality that couldn't make a lasting change in my life.

I believed my trauma was too strong to be met with such a gentle modality.

Despite being dubious, I persisted and then discovered Hacking Reality (a modality used with EFT by Rob Nelson).  After my first session, I experienced  profound changes.  Being plagued for years by chronic episodes of debilitating neck pain,  I left that session without neck pain and filled with hope.

Even with a limited knowledge of basic EFT and Hacking Reality, I started to experience profound changes in how I showed up in life.  I was learning new ways to handle emotions, stress, and life transitions.  I was even communicating more effectively with greater ease and clarity as I was gaining a widening perspective to my life and the world around me.  I wondered what more could be possible if I learned EFT in more depth.

I completed the training for basic EFT I and II and Hacking Reality through Rob Nelson.  It proved to be so transformative that I decided to complete the practitioner certification process with the goal of understanding it at an even deeper level.

Through the practitioner certification process, I was able to further my own inner work through tapping sessions with fellow practitioners-in-training.  This took my healing to another level.  Through their guidance, I was able to uncover my own blind spots and start to heal and move past pervasive destructive patterns.

Through that process, it felt like all roads had led me to this, and the puzzle pieces of my life started to come together.  Tapping has transformed my life in many ways and given me greater self-awareness, understanding, and freedom than I ever thought possible.

I tried a lot of tools and found value in many.

As a highly emotional person, I have waited my entire life for a tool like tapping.

Now, I'm on a mission to show people what is possible when we meet our painful parts with compassion and reverence through the tool of EFT.  I believe the soul can guide us to those higher ideals we all hope for like freedom, joy, and acceptance.

What is needed to move out of destructive patterns is creating a safe space for the soul to speak and unwind.
